Phillipines Project

Phillipines Project Phillipines Project

The Philippines project is approaching completion and there is a great deal of excitement and anticipation about being able to use the building. Thank you everyone who has helped contribute towards this great project.

Work Teams

So far 2 Australian work teams have worked on the project. The first team from South Eastern Christian Centre was led by David Cronin, the second from Warrnambool was led by Ps Jim Hewett.

Ps Jim Hewett is set to lead a third team to complete the tiling work. The team will leave early morning Sunday 18th March and return to Australia on 2nd April. People with some experience in tiling – floor and walls (even if limited) are needed to join this team.

Is there anybody in your church who could help?

Costs

Return airfare – approx AUD$1,200
Local food and accommodation - approx AUD$300.

If you have anybody interested please contact Ps Jim Hewett 03 5562 9668 / jhewett@ansonic.com.au or Ps Mike Cronin 03 9700 2314 / mcronin@virtual.net.au for details.

Money

We still need your help! In order to get the building at least operational we still need about another $30,000 over the next 3 months. $5,000 has already been promised, which leaves $25,000.

There is also an outstanding amount on the project in the CRC International Missions Account (Adelaide) of $24,000. The remaining commitments from the 2006 Conference Commitments will help with this, but more is still needed.

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated and cause much rejoicing amongst our Filipino brothers and sisters.
