School Assitance Program - Philippines
Many Filipino families have no way of sending children to school. In eight locations the CRC is sponsoring a total of 200 children to attend school. Workers meet with the children weekly, liase with teachers, and conduct monthly parent meetings. Progress is monitored to provide maximum support, encouragement and accountability.

Children's Homes and Kalkudah Centre - Sri Lanka
Valachenai Boy's Home
A new home for 50 boys is being constructed on a 1.5 acre property, located close to our girls home that currently houses 23 girls. It is in a secure location opposite a large church. To complete the work, we need a further $40,000.
Vavuniya Children's Home
We have constructed a children's home, completed in March 2006. Future developments will include a meeting hall, bakery and clinic, that will be developed at a cost of approximately $300,000 over several years. We hope to commence building this year.
Kalkudah Centre
We have purchased 17 acres in Kalkudah (Eastern Province) to develop a multi-purpose facility. Final objectives include agriculture, animal husbandry, vocational and theological training and staff accomodation. Plans are under way for the property to be developed over a number of years.

Preschools - Fiji
Preschools are now part of the national strategy of the CRC in Fiji. This has been helped by the Government making it compulsory for every child to attend preschool before they enter grade one.
To date we have four preschools in operation; one in Suva with 80 children, another in Savusavu with 40 children, one in Labasa with 10 children and one in Daku with 11 children.
Since 2003 we have been running annual teachers workshops providing further teacher training in areas of curriculum, craft ideas and other areas. These have been very beneficial. We have plans to open preschools at every outreach church in Fiji.
